This is honestly the most important book I have bought as a parent (other than the Bible of course). I have no idea how she could put that much information into a book and yet make it seem so easy to train your kids wisely. I literally could not put it down (Who ever says that about a nonfiction book?!) But seriously, it is that good. Our family has changed so much and so easily. Other books I have read have made me feel guilty. This one has made me feel encouraged and like you can start anytime
What a positive, encouraging, thought-provoking and honestly life-changing book! I am so inspired to train my kids wisely, and I feel so equipt and able to do this with God's help. This book walks you through the why based on Scripture, the how based on Scripture and real-life. There is no fluff in this book. Yet it is easy to read. She is straightforward, practical and helpful. You will not want to put this book down. I don't think I have ever said that about a non-fiction book before, but . .
This is an excellent book for any stage of parenting! It is not a program claiming "7 steps to great discipleship," but rather a proclamation of "this is what the Bible says, and this is how we have practically obeyed in our house." I love how saturated with Scripture it is and how practical it is. I was both encouraged and convicted, and it is definitely something I will go back to multiple times. I am excited to share this book with my friends!
This book is engaging, encouraging, and practical. It is something I keep picking up and referring to. Rene uses Scripture to show how to disciple and then shows how to practically and easily live it out. I was so convicted, but not in a guilty way but in a you can do this let me hold your hand and be your biggest cheerleader kind of way. Run and buy this! Every Christian parent should have it. I am buying it for every baby shower I go to.
