I don't usually leave reviews, but this Bible study and journal are amazing. If you want your kids to love to pray - this is the study you want for them! Everything is based on Scripture. She goes through prayers Jesus prayed, how the Jews approached the Tabernacle, where and when Jesus prayed and uses the Bible to teach kids how to pray in a way that is so easy for them to remember. I love that there are pictures used for each portion that is taught to help them remember what they have learned.
If you want a tool to help your kids' prayer life grow into a much deeper relationship - this is it! It is Scripture-based. Rene goes through the Tabernacle, the Lord's prayer as well as prayers Jesus prayed. It is so practical and easy to apply. I love the prayer journal at the end which my kids are still using. She goes step by step and explains everything well. My kids use this before they read their Bible each day. Exceeded my expectations!!
This is such a great study. I actually learned quite a bit myself. My prayer life is much stronger and my prayer life is more relational. I was praying each day but only for a few minutes. I can sit and pray for an hour now and it feels like the time has flown by. My kids loved this. I love seeing them praying and knowing how in a way that I didn't know as a kid or even as an adult for that matter.
We have done Training Them Wisely's other studies after reading her original book, Training them Wisely (Get it if you haven't - it is fantastic. I was hesitant at first to get this one but am so glad we did. I even learned from it. My kids are spending so much more time in prayer. Their relationship with God is so much stronger. They are seeing prayers answered, and they love it
This is the best resource I have seen for prayer. The study steadily builds and explains prayer biblically, clearly and is easy for kids to understand. It is written in a way that draws kids in. The prayer journal allows them to continue in prayer after finishing the study. This study encourages relational prayer rather than just a formula. Wonderful book! Highly recommend!!
