I love the way Psalm 11 ends. This chapter talks about taking refuge in the Lord as the wicked make ready to shoot in the darkness at the upright in heart. But the Lord is in His holy temple, on His throne in heaven. He sees, He punishes the wicked. The last verse is just so personal and loving. It says “For the Lord is righteous, He loves righteousness; the upright will behold His face.” I am so thankful for His love. The God who is all-powerful and created everything loved us! And one day we will see Him face to face. He is our refuge, defender, and protector. He sees and intervenes and cares because He loves the righteous. He loved us so much that He made us righteous through the blood of Jesus. We are not righteous on our own. But He covers us with His righteousness and calls us righteous. To think that He loved us when we were dead in our sin even to the point of dying. I am so in awe of His love and care!
